Role Models

So sorry I've been absent. Busy busy busy. So I want to do a post on role models; girls these days need to look up to better people then who they are looking up to now! Now days all these girls are looking up to "hipsters" and young celebs who go run around with their boyfriends and have eating disorders. Girl need some true women to look up to. I would love to start a group that does mentoring to younger students; help them better understand what it means to be a classy lady. Some good role models for girls are:

Blair Waldorf- okay okay I know she is a fictional character, but come on she is absolutely amazing. She has amazing style, completely driven and her own women. 

Taylor Swift- She is an amazing singer, great person and seems to be an all around great role model.

Get to Know Me

Since I am kinda new to this I thought I would do a little questionare about me so ya'll can get to know me a little better!

• Favorite color?         Pink and Turquoise
• Favorite number?     I have always like the number 3
• Favorite non-alcoholic drink?    Diet Coke 
• Facebook or Twitter?    I have both but probably Facebook 
• My Passion?     I love kids. I am studying to be an elementart teacher. I have always loved kids and teaching them new things. 
• Favorite animal?     Giraffs 
• Giving or receiving gifts?   Both! I love buying people stuff! On Christmas I can't wait for people to open their gifts I give them. But I also love getting stuff! 
• Favorite Pattern?    Polka dots, Paisley, floral. 
• Favorite Flower?    Hydrangeas 

Patience Is A Virtue

Patience leads to abundant understanding, but impatience leads to stupid mistakes. -Proverbs 11:29

   Boy do I agree with that passage. I have made some pretty dumb mistakes by being impatient. Patience is not the easiest virtue for me to obtain; it is a daily struggle for me. I am the kind of person that if I want something I want it then and I don't like to wait for something. I know I know I sound like a complete brat, but I believe that God is working on me in this area. 

   You might be asking yourself what kind of mistakes have I made by being impatient? Well it has mostly been with boys. I am the kind of person who feels like they "need" a boy in their life to be happy, but God is teaching me the exact oposite; I don't need anyone but Him to be happy. 

  I have struggled from the time I was allowed to date on how to be accepted by the oposite sex. I am not some sexy, tall, tan blonde who gets all the guys; I am the short, curvy girl with glasses and it took me a long time to see that I am beautiful and worthy of someone's full love. It took many many heartbreaks, tears and even my virginity to see that. I am not worthless like many guys have told me; I am a beautiful child of God. One day he will bring into my life a wonderful man of God that will love me like God loves me. It will all be worth it in the end. All it takes is a litte faith, trust and patience.

New iPad

This is my first post from my new iPad! Excitement!!!!

Welcome!

   Welcome to my blog! I'm not really new to this, but I am new to having a blog about my personal thoughts and such. First off my name is Kaitlin and I am from the great state of Alabama! I love living in the south; it is definitely a privilege! I am currently a junior at the University of South Alabama (Go Jags!) and absolutely love my major: Elementary Education!
